Lisa Beaty is a retired fire suppression and paramedic from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District with 25 years of service. Throughout her career, Lisa was with active IAFF Local 1230 serving on the Executive Board for 15 years holding positions from District Representative to Vice President. She was also committed to community involvement with chair positions on multiple committees.

Lisa was appointed to the Cal-JAC’s Commission to Recruit Women for the Fire Service in 2005 and serves as its co-chair. Lisa has devoted countless hours mentoring candidates and is dedicated not only to the recruitment of women seeking a career in the fire service but their retention once they’ve been hired.

In addition to serving as co-chair of the Commission, Lisa was appointed to the Cal-JAC Statewide Committee in 2004.
