2017 Firefighter Career Expos

Take the Next Step in Your Career this March

Are you a ready to take the next step toward a career in the fire service? Meet with recruiters from departments across the state? Gain valuable insight into the firefighter testing process?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then the California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee's Career Expos are for you!

These one-day career expos provide opportunities for prospective candidates to interact with fire departments from across California and learn more about what it takes to pursue a career in fire service.

The dates and locations of the upcoming expos are as follows:

Saturday, March 11 - FCTC Livermore


Saturday, March 25 - FCTC Sacramento


Candidates will have a chance to meet with fire department recruiters and network for a future career. They will also have the opportunity to try out the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT), get hands-on experience with FCTC's new mechanical reasoning props, learn what to expect from the Written Test, find out more about "A Day in the Life of a Firefighter" and view apparatus displays.

All events are free of charge. Families are more than welcome to attend.
