Car Bomb Scenario for TCM Training

When our homeland security is attacked, it is firefighters who are on the front lines. But in order to respond, firefighters need to know what to expect when responding to a terrorist attack.

It was in pursuit of that realism that Roseville’s Basic Urban Kitchen and Bar was transformed into the scene of a nightclub car bomb attack … complete with smoldering vehicles, blood-spattered “victims” and real first responders.

Video crews with FireStar Productions, aided by some two-dozen actors and Roseville firefighters and police officers, shot footage to provide instruction on critical first response decisions that must be made within the first five minutes of a response to the sort of explosion that indicates possible terrorist attack.
