At the Firefighter Career Expo in Sacramento, attendees had a chance to learn what it takes to be a California firefighter.  

Hundreds of firefighter candidates attended the Firefighter Career Expo in Orange to learn more about working in the fire service entails.

Through the ROP fire tech class in Sacramento County, students were able to work towards earning certificates, including a 69 hour basic wildland firefighter certificate, which was earned after ROP students visited the Cal Fire Academy in Ione.

This past November, the CFFJAC held its 10th Biennial CFFJAC Conference in Cathedral City. The 2009 Conference brought together a record number of fire professionals -- labor and management -- who were united in a commitment to building a better fire service.

In the city of Sacramento, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District scheduled a live fire training burn in a house to give firefighters a tactical and task-level training.

It was in pursuit of that realism that Roseville’s Basic Urban Kitchen and Bar was transformed into the scene of a nightclub car-bomb attack.
