Located on the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, the Lemoore Federal Fire Department services private, military and commercial aircraft on the base. It is employed by the Department of Defense/Navy under the Navy Region Southwest, which encompasses all naval installations in California and Nevada.

The department offers 24-hour emergency response, handling all aircraft, hazmat, structural, rescue, medical and other emergencies. The department is housed in two different fire stations and firefighters can respond anywhere on the base within five minutes.

Personnel are also trained in wildland firefighting and confined space rescue. Their prevention staff inspects over 2 million square feet of facilities, nearly 1,700 base housing units and 1,500 fire extinguishers.

Lemoore Federal Fire Department has been affiliated with the CFFJAC program since 2004 and its personnel are proudly represented by Local F-102.
